    Ontdekken Costa Blanca

One of the most famous coastlines in Spain, the Costa Blanca attracts millions of visitors each year and is traditionally a favorite destination for foreign buyers drawn to the clear blue waters, miles of golden sandy beaches, quaint villages, sophisticated cafes and restaurants and an abundance of leisure activities.

The Costa Blanca beaches boast 60 blue-flags that testify the quality of the waters in 218 kilometer long coastline. More than 170 beaches and coves welcome the visitor, catering for all tastes and requirements: white fine sand, pebbles, concealed behind the dunes, next to pinewoods, below abrupt cliffs, urban or with calm waters. Some good examples are Centro or Raco Conill in Villajoyosa, El Arenal in Calpe, La Marineta in Denia, Carabassi in Santa Pola, La Mata in Torrevieja

People and civilizations that have settled in and crossed this Mediterranean area throughout history have left behind a legacy of archeological sites and cave paintings, castles, deserted Moorish settlements and historical city centers filled with masterpieces of civil and ecclesiastical heritage.

The Volvo Ocean Race starts every three years from the port of Alicante, but the Costa Blanca is also a paradise for scuba diving, thanks to marine reserves such as Tabarca or Cabo San Antonio, and for windsurfing, canoeing, rowing or kayaking. Nor can we forget the 22 golf courses across the province, which has become an internationally desired location to practice this sport.

Craftsmanship and avant-garde design coexist in the shoe, handbag, carpet and toy industries. As well as traditional markets such as the ones on the beach of Calpe, Altea, la Nucia and el Campico in Guardamar.

Mariola, Font Roja, Marjal Pego-oliva, Peñon de Ifach, Sierra Helada, Montgo, Lagunas de la Mata and Torrevieja…These are some of the ten natural reserves that stretch along the province of Alicante from north to south, making up a unique landscape dotted with beautiful villages and cultural routes.

The Costa Blanca has a healthy Mediterranean diet of vegetables, fruits and good cuisine of fine tradition. The nine Michelin starts hanging from six restaurants of the province can confirm this. All complemented with Alicante wines Designation of Origen, famous desserts as “turron”, the artisan products of Jijona and typical chocolate of VIllajoyosa.
