Johnson staying at Spanish home in Benahavis

Spanish home

Boris Johnson and his family are staying at the Marbella home of the Goldsmith family. Zac Goldsmith, a Conservative party peer, offered his Spanish home to the Prime Minister for the short break.

The estate, known as Torre Tramores, is close to the villlage of Benahavis, and has its own helipad.

According to the Daily Mail, the main house is set over three levels and can sleep up to 13 people. It also includes a two-bedroom apartment with private access.

There is also a slightly smaller villa that sleeps up to 10 people and includes five en-suite bedrooms which can be rented separately.

While popping over to stay in Lord Goldsmith of Richmond’s sprawling family villa might not be an option for most of us, there are plenty of choices for families looking for a second home in Marbella. Taylor Wimpey España has a range of properties there:

Marbella Lake – a selection of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and the wonderful penthouses and duplex homes are surrounded by carefully landscaped gardens and four communal pools, for tranquil living in the heart of Golf Valley in Nueva Andalucía, just 5 kilometres from Puerto Banús. Prices from €680,000 plus VAT.

Le Caprice – one last, key-ready penthouse available, with show-home furniture and an additional parking space included in the asking price if bought before the end of October. Cost: €698,500 plus VAT. The penthouse is at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa, providing spectacular views over the golf course and the Mediterranean coastline from its private, 100m2 solarium.

The Crest – perfect for anyone looking for a more affordable second home in Marbella, with three-bedroom apartments at La Quinta Golf priced from €385,000 plus VAT. The 14 apartments feature landscape-style terraces that merge into their light-filled living rooms, delivering superb views, and come with a communal pool with solarium area and showers.

According to the Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey España, Marbella delivers an excellent blend of Spanish tradition and modern convenience:

“Marbella is an area to watch, with its increasingly glamorous reputation. The latest building trends along the Costa del Sol include a range of tech features (USB connections, charging points for electric cars) and environmentally friendly elements (such as highly efficient low temperature air to water heat pumps for warm water), as well as classic features such as large windows and terraces for making the most of the Spanish sunshine.”
