TWE participates in a panel in the UK on the Spanish property market

The organisation OPP, Overseas Property Professional, lead a panel discussion to debate the way in which greater guarantees can be provided to clients in order to restore confidence in Spain as the second homes market leader.

Our Director de Marketing y Ventas, Victor Sagué, was invited to participate. He offered the viewpoint of Taylor Wimpey de España, a company that has been selling quality properties in this country for more than 50 years. Representatives from the Safe Buying Experience, and from the banking, insurance and legal sectors also attended in order to give a multidisciplinary vision of the issue.

Spain has always been recognised as a mature market with regard to second homes, as a result of its excellent infrastructure, flexible mortgage system, the quality of its health system and the tourism that it offers, etc. However, this image has been affected in large part by media reports on negative aspects.

Some conclusions from the meeting included: the need to offer transparent services that reflect a clear exchange between buyer and seller; the importance of providing clients with as much information as possible so that they have a complete overview of the investment, not just of the complex itself, but also of the surroundings; establishing links with companies that guarantee the security of the investment, such as those that Taylor Wimpey de España maintains with Safe Buying Experience, a company that has granted an accreditation award to all our residential complexes because they comply with the highest legal standards, both as regards construction and buying processes.
