Mallorca property market set to sizzle this summer

It’s already been established as the most buoyant region for home values in Spain’s troubled property market, and it looks like more good news is in store for real estate owners in Mallorca in 2011. Enquiries for holiday lettings on the glamorous island have surged in the first quarter of this year, and many low-cost carriers have introduced new summer services to keep up with the demand.
’Over the last 12 months we have seen both visitor numbers and enquiries for property on Mallorca rise steadily’, said Ignacio Osle, sales director for locally based agents Taylor Wimpey de Espana. ’Buyers from the UK and Europe are not only looking at the traditional hotspots on the mainland but further afield to Spain’s stunning islands.’
