Taylor Wimpey closed the 2008 financial year with 214 houses sold, two more than in 2007, despite the fact that the property climate deteriorated significantly during this period. Among strategies aimed at maintaining sales levels, management decided during the second semester of the year to offer discounts of up to 25% on a selection of properties, in order to create a range of alternatives for its clients that would adapt to their needs and means. As a result, the company registered 131 sales during the second semester and more than 100 reservations for 2009.
