News in brief: San Francisco, golden visa and top Turkey

The long-awaited Spanish “golden visa” was given the green light last week, meaning that non-EU residents who invest a minimum of €500,000 (£418,000) in property there — without a mortgage — will be eligible for permanent residency. Taylor Wimpey España reported a 1,400% rise in Middle Eastern buyers between January and May, compared with the same period last year, and a 325% surge in Russian and Lithuanian buyers.
