Dine Mile High to bring a taste of Andalucia to London this summer

London’s coolest pop up gastronomic event is back with this summer and the Spanish Tourist Office and the region of Andalucía are delighted to be sponsoring it. Lovers of all things Spanish should book their tickets sharpish as Shuttlecock Inc., the team behind London’s legendary Mile High pop ups, and their trusty team of cabin crew and pilots prepare to take diners on a food and cocktail-fuelled voyage to Andalucía.

Inspired by the golden age of air travel, when leg room meant doing the twist and turbulence was a by-product of the bar steward’s cocktail shaker, Mile High: Destination Andalucía will fresh-press the brashest, liveliest and most delicious elements of one of Spain’s most iconic provinces into a monotony-crushing elixir or sabor, pasión y espíritu.

In true Mile High style, diners will be greeted by Pan Am-inspired air hostesses and enjoy retro “check-in” cocktails and appetizers while listening to the sounds of Mile High’s DJ Airborne Division. At 7.30pm diners are summoned for boarding and will find themelves transported to Andalucía where a Spanish banquet awaits. The food will be cooked up by an experienced team of chefs who have worked the kitchens of popular haunts like Moro, Bocca Di Lupo and St John, and the menu is set to get taste buds tingling with modern takes on Spanish classics.

Tickets cost £65pp and includes two cocktails, gourmet bar snacks and a four-course meal. Tickets go on sale five weeks before the event and the top secret central London venue will be revealed after ticket purchase.

Dates: 30th and 31st July / 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th August 2014.
