British buyers made up 21% of Costa del Sol reservations in 2026, with golf homes at La Cala Golf starting at €400,000 plus VAT.
British buyers accounted for 21% of Taylor Wimpey España property reservations in the Costa del Sol, the largest share among purchasers from 29 nationalities, according to the developer.
The local figures sit alongside national data from Spain’s General Council of Notaries (Consejo General del Notariado). Britons represented 7% of all foreign home buyers in Spain during the first half of 2026, purchasing 3,511 properties across the country.
Taylor Wimpey España reported that the average price paid by its buyers in the Costa del Sol during 2025/26 was €560,000.

Taylor Wimpey España said its Costa del Sol purchasers are predominantly married couples aged between 55 and 60. British golfers are among those seeking second homes and retirement properties in the area.
