Juan Diego Menéndez named new director general Taylor Wimpey

Taylor Wimpey España, the leading Spanish homebuilder with more than 65 years’ experience of the construction of homes in Spain, has announced the appointment, with effect from 1st July 2024, of Juan Diego Menéndez as its new Director General. Menéndez succeeds Javier Ballester, who is retiring after an outstanding career of more than 43 years in the company, including over 30 as Director General, during which time he architected the consolidation and strengthening of the business in key areas such as the Balearic Islands, the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol.
Juan Diego Menéndez brings extensive experience and knowledge of the sector and of Taylor Wimpey Spain, a company he joined in 2001 as Financial Director. Since 2020 he has been the Regional Director of the Balearic Islands, leading the growth and consolidation of the company in one of its key areas.
Menéndez’s extensive experience in financial management, deep knowledge of the real estate sector and commitment to the company’s values position him as the ideal leader to continue his predecessor’s legacy of success and face the future challenges of the sector.
The new General Manager has expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to leading the future of Taylor Wimpey España and has highlighted Ballester’s work as an inspiration.

Taylor Wimpey España currently has more than 20 projects on the market with around 1,000 homes focused on the Mediterranean coast: Mallorca, Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol. The company is recognized for its focus on customer satisfaction and its after-sales service, offering solutions to buyers of various nationalities.
