“The Faro” beach, also known as “Alcaidesa-Torrecarbonera” or “Alcaidesa-El Faro,” spans 840 meters and features coarse gray sand. It’s a nearly pristine Mediterranean beach with dunes and a cork oak forest by the sea, part of the Los Alcornocales Natural Park. Occupancy is low on weekdays and high on weekends. Interestingly, the beach has several World War II bunkers and offers incredible views of the Rock of Gibraltar, while Ceuta and Morocco lie just a few kilometers away. It’s easily accessible by car from Alcaidesa Bridge or La Casita Bridge for disabled individuals. It boasts disabled parking, reserved shaded areas, showers… Awarded with a Blue Flag.
