The latest Knight Frank Wealth Report has named Spain the second most attractive property destination for international capital in the world for 2023, as wealthy investors seek markets offering not just healthy returns but lifestyle benefits and stable political governance. In terms of its prime residential market, Knight Frank’s analysis confirms Spain as the second most international prime residential marketplace in the world, with buyers from across the globe seeking out investment opportunities in the Spanish property sector.
The release of the report coincides with the announcement from leading Spanish home builder Taylor Wimpey España that it will be launching two new coastal developments, representing a total investment of €35 million.
Located in the idyllic setting of Cala D’Or, Mallorca, La Mar is a collection of 36 apartments sited around a communal pool and gardens. The avant-garde architecture and energy rating of ‘A’ are ideal for buyers looking to balance visual appeal with consideration for the planet. Two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with open-plan living space that opens onto a generously sized terrace.
Taylor Wimpey España’s second new development is Breeze, located in Balcón de Finestrat in Alicante. The first phase of the launch will include 30 apartments and 14 terraced houses, less than 8 km from Finestrat Cove and the beaches of Benidorm. With two- and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses available, the properties will suit a wide range of buyers seeking to enjoy the sunshine, beaches, golf and other amenities close to the development’s quiet residential location. Views include the site’s communal areas, swimming pool and private gardens, with sea views available with select homes. Option to add a private pool for the houses.
The newly launched developments follow a busy year for Taylor Wimpey España. The firm completed 381 homes in 2022 – a 77% increase on 2021 – with an average selling price of €383,000 across the areas in which it operates (the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, Mallorca and Ibiza). The company now has 65 years’ experience of developing homes along the Spanish coast, with 2023 set to be another busy one; the total order book as at 31st December 2022 stood at 448 homes, up 38% compared to a year earlier.
