Scheduled leisure airline Monarch is adding more than 17,500 seats on flights to popular tourist destinations ahead of the festive rush this year.
The carrier said it has experiences a huge increase in demand from customers who are looking to get away from the UK and enjoy some winter sun over the Christmas and the New Year period.
As a result it has added another 35 flights to a wide range of destinations across Europe.
There will be additional routes to Gibraltar, Faro in Portugal, Alicante and Malaga in Spain and the Canary Islands of Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria.
These extra services will depart from Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester airports between December 19th and January 9th.
“The Christmas and New Year period is a perfect time for a well-deserved break and these short and mid-haul destinations are ideally located for customers wanting a winter holiday,” said Kevin George, managing director of Monarch.
