Indeed, the unfailing quality of Spain’s beaches continues to attract visitors from all over the world, drawn by the beautiful white sands, clear blue waters and perfect climate. Of course, the news that Spain has more Blue Flag beaches than any other destination (one in every six flags awarded across the globe going to a Spanish shore) will certainly signal good news for property owners as homes within close proximity to a blue flag beach will expect to retain a higher value over time and see greater rental appeal.

Ignacio Osle, Sales and Marketing Director of leading house builder Taylor Wimpey de España, comments,

“It is hard to find a better more beautiful beach haven than in Spain and we are lucky that many of our residential developments reside where Blue Flags fly high. Beaches across Spain have been vastly improving year on year and along with the relatively short flight times from anywhere in Europe combined with declining holiday costs, visitors will with no doubt continue to flock to Spain to sample its glorious beaches. Certainly, the declaration from The Blue Flag Programme only confirms that Spain is the best beach capital of the world.”

The Blue Flag Programme has awarded flags in many regions of Spain including Andalucía which has 66 flags, followed by 63 flags for the Balearics and 104 flags for beaches in Comunidad Valenciana where building giant Taylor Wimpey de España have several stunning developments.

Ian Raine of ULookUBook.com, comments: “Spain has always been a favourite with our customers, who are drawn there by the country’s stellar reputation as a tourist haven. Spain’s beaches seem to improve every year and travellers are hard pressed to find more beautiful seaside resorts in Europe. This recent announcement from the Blue Flag Programme reaffirms Spain’s position as beach capital of the world.”

The Blue Flag is a highly prized, international award that recognises the water quality, cleanliness, safety, accessibility and services provided by beaches. The award is conferred upon beaches across the globe by The Blue Flag Programme and its international judging panel. ULookUBook.com notes that this award will mean that one in every six flags awarded across the world will fly on the Spanish coastline, and that one in every six of Spain’s beaches will fly the blue flag this year. The announcement of this year’s results also means that Spain will retain the accolade of having the most Blue Flag beaches worldwide.

Raine continues: “Spain has been awarded the most Blue Flags worldwide year after year, due in no small part to the government’s focus on catering to the tourism industry. The quality of Spain’s beaches has been steadily improving for quite some time and this, along with a decline in holiday costs, has and will continue to tempt travellers back to its golden shores.”
