24hour Film Challenge

The Marbella International Film Festival is taking place this year between the 15th and 17th October at the Hotel H10 Andalucia Plaza. There will be a screening of over 40 films from the international world of cinema from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Americas, with many films premiering in Marbella, along with return of the much publicised “24 hour Film Challenge” which is open to all interested filmmakers including plenty of fringe activities.

About the Marbella International Film Festival:

The Marbella International Film Festival will include events such as fashion shows, gala evenings, workshops, art exhibitions, dance and music giving creative opportunities for the international talent within the world of film and performance art. Only the highest level of work is selected and in turn gives the artists a chance to mix with sponsors and financiers within the commercial world.

The Marbella International Film Festival inaugural red carpet party at the Casino takes place on the 15th October and will be attended by celebrities and film makers from all over the world. The Awards ceremony gala Dinner which is by invitation only, will close the festival on 17th October, however, over this 3 day period there will also be a number of parties and after show parties for the chic Marbella crowd including the Official Festival After Party at Polo Club on the 16th.

About the 24 Hour Film Challenge at the Marbella International Film Festival:

In the past years, the Marbella 24 hour film challenge, has attracted many talented film makers, who created some outstanding work, scripted, shot, edited, and submitted for screening in only 24 hours.

The Film maker with cast and crew, ( or just alone, with a camera and laptop) is challenged to make a 3 to 4 minute short film and must write a script, direct the actors, shoot the film, edit, add sound and music, and have the film finished in just 24 hours!

All films will be screened and judged, as part of Marbella International Film Festival, with the best film receiving the prestigious Marbella 24 hour film challenge 2010 Award.
