With a reviving economy, improved exchange rate and ever-higher values of their primary home, the British are back in the market for overseas property.
To match demand, A Place in the Sun is putting on a new show in Manchester next March, while the Overseas Property Show will run from 5-8 September in Birmingham and at seven other cities this autumn. According to Currencies Direct the locations most favoured by the British are, in descending order: Spain, France, the US, Portugal and South Africa. From the most popular of those, Taylor Wimpey España tells OPP that her customers are discerning and ready to buy. “The positives are that these are cash buyers, with a lot of information about the market and looking for good locations and great build quality.”
