BOTANIC
En esta propuesta de jardín se ha querido realizar un paseobotánicopor los
cinco continentes que presentan vegetación.
Se ha comenzado por Europa, dándole unamayor extensión que al resto,
pretendiendo hacer una integración con el paisajemediterráneo colindante.
De ahí, la utilización de pinos, alcornoques y quejigos, además del típico
matorral mediterráneo y de otras especies presentes en él.
EnÁfrica se ha buscado un recorridomuy rápidodesde norte a sur, tal como
un viaje podría ser, en el que nos encontraremos palmerasmuy conocidas
y presentes en la jardinería de laCosta del Sol, como la palmera datilera o el
drago, pasandopor otrasmenos habituales típicas de selvasmás sub-tropicales
hasta llegar a una vegetación de climamediterráneo, como son algunas plantas
de origen sudafricano, entre ellas el calodendro, árbol del coral o el Ficus lyrata.
EnAsia se ha buscado la notoriedadde ejemplares arbóreos con floración
espectacular como el árbol del amor, árbol de las orquídeas o el cinomomo junto
con representantesmás exóticos como el árbol de los 40 escudos o el cedro
del Himalaya, que se aclimatan perfectamente a nuestromicroclima. Además
de arbustos igualmente floribundos como el pacífico.
En el continente australiano encontramos lasmayores similitudes con este clima
mediterráneoque poseemos y se utilizarán especies ya conocidas por todos los
aficionados a la jardinería como los limpiatubos, mimosas, brachichitos o
pequeños eucaliptos de flor roja. Combinados con especies arbustivas de
notable floración como lasmelaleucas.
El continente americanopresenta una diversidadde hábitat realmente
espectacular en el que nos encontraremos de paisajes desérticos con una
inmensa variedadde cactáceas hasta una lasmayores selvas del planeta,
como es el Amazonas. Es por esa diversidadpor lo cual se quieremostrar una
representación de cactus y suculentas plantas (Agaves, Aloes, verdaderos
cactus, etc.), ampliamente utilizadas en nuestra zona por sus espectaculares
floraciones como la jacaranda, el paloborracho o tipuana, entremuchas otras;
e incluso algunas coníferas notables como es el casode las sequoias.

The intentionwith this garden proposal is to create a botanical journey through
the five continents that have vegetation.
We have startedwith Europe, endowing it with a larger extension to the rest,
with the intention of integrating it with the adjoiningMediterranean landscape.
Hence, the use of pine trees, cork oaks andgall oaks, in addition to the typical
Mediterranean bushes andother species found here.
InAfrica, the idea is to create a very fast journey from north to south, where
we find from the verywell-known palm trees that are commonplace inmany
gardens on theCosta del Sol, like the date palmor the dragopalm to other
less frequent ones, more typical of subtropical jungles, until we reach a
Mediterranean-like vegetation, with plants of SouthAfrican origin, including
calodendrum, coral tree or the Ficus lyrata.
The space dedicated toAsia seeks the notoriety of arboreal specimenswith
spectacular flowering, like the Judas tree, the purple orchid tree or chinaberry
tree together withmore exotic representatives, such as the ginkgo tree or the
Himalayan cedar, which acclimatisewell to ourmicro-climate. Also, some
bushes equally as blooming, like theChinese hibiscus.
It is on theAustralian continent wherewe findmost similitudewith the
Mediterranean climatewe have here. Species known to all the amateur
gardeners, like the cultivar, mimosas, lilawarra flame tree or small red flower
eucaliptus trees shall be used combinedwith notably bloomingbushy
species such as paperbarks.
TheAmerican continent presents a truly spectacular habitat diversitywhere
we find fromdesert landscapeswith an immense variety of cacti toone of the
largest jungles of theplanet, such as theAmazonas. This diversity is the reason
for wanting to create a representation of cacti and succulent plants
(Agave, Aloe, true cacti, etc.), plants that arewidely used in our
area for their spectacular blooming, such as the jacaranda, the
silk floss tree or tipa, amongmany others; and even some
spectacular connifers, as is the case of the sequoias.
