THE good news for the tourism industry continues, with Malaga getting 10 per cent more visitors in January than in the same month of 2014,<\/p>\n

During January, the province received a total of 199,246 tourists, according to the data released by the Socio-economical Observatory of Malaga\u2019s Development and Quality Foundation (Madeca).<\/p>\n

Spanish residents who visited Malaga numbered 93,493, which represented a15.6 per cent growth.<\/p>\n

In terms of international tourists, the figures also increased by 5.3, with the arrival of 105,753 tourists.<\/p>\n

Overnight occupancies grew by 4 per cent over the same month the previous year, reaching a total of 709,029.<\/p>\n

Flights to the Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport increased by 2.1 per cent, with 5,657 flights in total.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
