The festival got under way on the 22nd of June with a Russian Epic concert conducted by one of the leading figures in Russian classical music, Maestro Mikhail Tatarnikov. It comes to an end with a spectacular Beethoven concert featuring the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino conducted by Zubin Mehta, which will take place on the 13th of September.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1922065_602426473161498_294848645_n.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6224\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/1922065_602426473161498_294848645_n.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All of this has been made possible by the invaluable collaboration of Majorcan composer Joan Valent, who has studied violoncello, piano, analysis, composition and conducting in Palma de Majorca, Barcelona and Los Angeles. A musician of considerable experience, Valent has been the Director of the prestigious \u201cFestival de Pollen\u00e7a\u201d and has created the \u201cBallet Carmen\u201d for the Sara Baras Company. He has also composed soundtracks for such movies as \u201cThe Bicycle\u201d, \u201cThe Box\u201d, \u201cSerrallonga\u201d, \u201cThe Consul of Sodom\u201d and the latest creation of Andr\u00e9s Vicente G\u00f3mez, \u201cAy Carmela!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/en-daniel-barenboim.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6225\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/en-daniel-barenboim.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"994\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/en-daniel-barenboim.png 994w, https:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/en-daniel-barenboim-300x59.png 300w, https:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/en-daniel-barenboim-768x153.png 768w, https:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/en-daniel-barenboim-940x187.png 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Maestro Daniel Barenboim will perform a unique piano recital in Majorca, in the exclusive settings of the Barcel\u00f3 Formentor Hotel. The Maestro&#8217;s own piano will be shipped specially for this concert from the La Scala Theatre.
