Spain’s status as the number one golf holiday hot spot has been confirmed by a new survey of golf tour operators compiled by KPMG’s Golf Advisory Practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Golf Travel Insights 2013 report reveals that Spain is the most popular travel destination in the world for golf tourists, followed by Portugal and then Scotland. Interestingly Turkey has become the\u00a0<\/span>fourth most visited destination ranking ahead of traditional golfing\u00a0hot spots\u00a0including the Republic of Ireland, Dubai, South Africa, USA and England.<\/p>\n

According to the report, global golf holiday sales grew 9.3% compared to the previous year with the surveyed operators alone catering for 1.6 million golf\u00a0in 2012.
