The property market in the Balearics is performing much better than that of mainland Spain where the year-on-year increase to September 2012 was only 0.9%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/GAR7256-Large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4964\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/GAR7256-Large-e1353062292170.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"530\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/GAR7256-Large-e1353062292170.jpg 530w, https:\/\/taylorwimpeyspain.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/GAR7256-Large-e1353062292170-300x165.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mallorca is the largest and most popular destination in the Balearics and has seen a steady increase in property prices which shows signs of the market starting to move again. For example a house priced at \u20ac420,000 in March 2011 has now risen to \u20ac467,500 in September this year.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2012 a total of 901 property sales were registered in the Balearics which is a growth of 32.3% since August 2011. In September this year there were fewer sales registering a figure of 622.
