The long weekend of 26 to 28 May 2012 is only six weeks away, and is now a firm date to put in your diary if you enjoy water sports. Whether you’re into sailing, motor cruising, chartering, or maybe exploring what might appeal to you as a hobby or a relaxing family pursuit, then you will find something of interest in Puerto Portals Mallorca this May!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Portals<\/a><\/p>\n

Apart from the large number of yachts available for public viewing on the floating quays, there will be a shore based exhibition in the chic well known Puerto Portals boulevard area. This is bordered on both sides by boutique shops, restaurants and bars, only a few metres from the waters edge. Where else will you find such an agreeable setting for a thoroughly enjoyable Nautical Weekend?<\/p>\n

This will be a real \u2018boat fair\u2019 embodied within all the facilities of a vibrant full service marina in its lively summer season mode!<\/p>\n

The port itself celebrated 25 years in existence as a luxury marina in 2011, and is universally regarded in the nautical leisure world as a top class sailor’s destination. \u00a0Its proximity to the excellent transport links via Palma de Mallorca’s international airport and ferry terminal, together with the natural gift of 300 days sunshine a year, and unbeatable coastal\/offshore sailing conditions, have put Puerto Portals permanently at the top of the global marina premier league.<\/p>\n

If you take the excellent ambience of the port, with it’s extensive retail shopping outlets, plus restaurants and bars to suit every taste and pocket, and combine it with a display of boats (both new and pre-owned) from Europe’s best known names in yacht building and brokerage… then that describes perfectly what you will see and experience at the Portals Nautical Weekend.<\/p>\n

Add to that, a host of other exhibitors from Mallorca’s long established and high quality marine services sector, and the chance to soak up the sun for a few hours on one of the islands famous beaches, (one of them right next to the port itself) , and any nautically inclined family or yachting professional is bound to find this an attractive event to visit.<\/p>\n

Some of the other attractions to compliment the comprehensive range of yachts in the water (from 8m to >30m, power and sail), will be the all important chandlers and yachting accessory \u00a0exhibits, with special prices on some items exclusively for the show.<\/p>\n

There will also be jet-skis, RIBS, outboard motors, kayaks, tenders\/toys and dinghies on show. And if you prefer to charter a yacht for an idyllic holiday in The Balearics, or to take an instructional course towards gaining a recognised yachting qualification, then there will be specialist companies on hand to help you with arranging this to suit your requirements.<\/p>\n
