The Pelayos, a thriller about the real case of a family who made millions playing in casinos worldwide, will be the opening film of the next Malaga Film Festival (April 20-28).<\/strong>

Directed by Eduard Cort\u00e9s, the film stars Daniel Br\u00fchl, Llu\u00eds Homar and Blanca Su\u00e1rez. The Pelayos became famous many years ago since they were a family of roulette players who used ingenious tricks that involved physics and mathematics to win in that game. What we may consider as wit, was considered by casinos as cheating, and the Pelayos struggled to play at various casinos in the world, although, in the end, justice gave them the reason.<\/p>\n

Their methodology, which was applied during the 1990s, involved concepts as mathematical expectation, analysis of the physical deviations (slope) of the roulette and mathematical calculation and statistical analysis to deduce trends and winning numbers with the highest probability.<\/p>\n
