A film shot in 1914 by the director Jos\u00e9 Gaspar, and considered to be the oldest such document on M\u00e1laga, \u2018Un D\u00eda por M\u00e1laga\u2019, has been restored.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nContaining the oldest moving pictures from the city, the film has been rescued by the Andaluc\u00eda Filmoteca. It shows life in M\u00e1laga\u2019s streets as being the protagonist of the city at the start of the last century.<\/p>\n

The restored copy of the work was presented to the Regional Councillor for Culture, Paulino Plata, the Government Delegate for M\u00e1laga, Mar\u00eda G\u00e1mez, journalist and researcher Francisco Gri\u00f1\u00e1n, and the Director of the filmoteca, Pablo Garc\u00eda Casado, who explained that the film is the only documentary of its type in the filmotecas across Spain. Gri\u00f1\u00e1n described it as the facebook of its day.<\/p>\n
