British Airways has announced it will start flying to Malaga and Faro next summer, as well as increasing frequency to three other destinations.<\/strong><\/p>\n


\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new Spanish and Portuguese routes, due to start on June 7, will be operated by BA\u2019s subsidiary BA City Flyer.<\/p>\n

The airline is upping its flights to Amsterdam to six times daily from May 2, and from June 7, Glasgow route will increase to five flights daily and Edinburgh to eight daily.<\/p>\n

The sunshine routes of Malaga and Faro are likely to be a popular choice with holidaymakers, reflecting London City airport\u2019s recent move towards serving more of the leisure market as well as its core business clients.<\/p>\n

Richard Gooding, CEO of London City, said British Airways’ capacity at the airport will grow by 40% next summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is great to see the continued growth of British Airways at London City,” he said.<\/p>\n

“The 40% increase in seating capacity offers our passengers more choice and greater flexibility, while the new route announcements to Malaga and Faro further enhance our leisure offerings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

BA has previously announced it will start flying to the French skiing destination of Chambery in December, as well as Stockholm in Sweden.<\/p>\n

The airline will also resume its summer services to Palma and Ibiza at the end of March.<\/p>\n
