Spend an exciting day at the races with E2M at the Hipodromo, Costa del Sol in Mijas. This race course is situated in Mijas Costa, in the heart of Costa del Sol with magnificent views of the sea and Mijas Sierra. The location is only 30Km from Malaga airport with easy access from all points of the coast.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hippodromo boasts 2 sandy racecourses of 1,700 and 1,600m, both 25m wide and 30,000sq metres of grounds suitable for large corporate events and product launches.<\/p>\n

Numerous facilities at this venue mean we can cater for small and large groups, there are onsite restaurants, VIP lounges with spectacular views of the racetrack and a “chillout” terrace featuring International DJ’s.<\/p>\n

\n

So if you are a keen horse racing fan, fancy a bet or just looking for a great venue to host your party or corporate event, a day at the races is a great all round activity.<\/p>\n

Opened in 2000 it has quickly grown in popularity and has now become a major attraction on the Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n

There is ample free car parking and the entrance fee to the race course is just 7 euros. Being a brand new attraction it has the advantage of being very well planned and organized.<\/p>\n

There are 2 x 25m. wide sand tracks, one 1,700m and the other 1,600 as well as an athletics track. There is a 30,000 sq.m. plaza with seating for 2,000 with direct views of the track. In the centre of the race track a full field and track athletics course has been laid out and in addition there is a fully equipped gymnasium, a swimming pool and a hotel.<\/p>\n

Mijas race Course also boasts many bars and restaurants catering for all tastes, and live entertainment with many top names visiting the Race Track. The horse races are held every thirty minutes and you get ample opportunity to view the runners and riders in the saddling enclosure and whilst being paraded around the paddock.<\/p>\n

Mijas Race Course Opening Times:-<\/strong><\/p>\n

Autumn, winter and spring opening times are from 11.30a.m. on two Sundays in the month whilst in the summer ( beginning of June- beginning September) the races are held in the cool of the evening every Friday from 9.00p.m. onwards with a flood lit track.<\/p>\n

It really is a superb day, or evening, out with lots to see and do apart from the races, have a meal, listen to a live band and of course have a flutter with the on course bookies.<\/p>\n
