Leading Spanish home builder Taylor Wimpey Espa\u00f1a<\/a> has announced a \u20ac32M commitment to building new homes in the Costa Blanca, as it begins to unveil extensive plans for 2026. The two new developments, Sora and Nature, enjoy strategic locations in the popular Alicante coastal spots of Denia and Balc\u00f3n de Finestrat (Alicante).

Location \u2013 always a key consideration for buyers \u2013 is projected to take on even more importance over the year ahead. Marc Pritchard, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Espa\u00f1a, explains:

\u201cWe anticipate a keen focus on the hyper-localisation of coastal living experiences in 2026. Buyers are increasingly seeking out more than just a home. They\u2019re looking for a lifestyle that\u2019s fully immersive, with the sea, local culture, golf, gastronomy, community networks and everyday amenities all easily accessible. Simply offering a sea view will no longer cut it \u2013 buyers want to understand the neighbourhood\u2019s character and the unique aspects of the region.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>

Additional priorities for 2026, according to the Taylor Wimpey Espa\u00f1a team, will include green credentials becoming table stakes and tech-enabled homes supporting hybrid use. Buyers have already shown a clear preference for homes with high energy ratings, solar systems, water-saving devices and eco-materials that positively impact cost of ownership and lifestyle, as well as the environment. Moving forward, such features are essential, not optional, as evidenced by Sora and Nature both delivering homes with an energy rating of A.

In terms of the way homes are used, the fact that remote work is now firmly embedded for many people means that properties must support digital connectivity as standard. That means providing flexible layouts as well as smart-home features, with properties flexing to meet each buyer\u2019s unique requirements in terms of balancing work and leisure.
