2024 saw 14 million people visit the Costa del Sol, reaffirming the region\u2019s position as one of the most popular Mediterranean destinations in Europe. According to figures from Turismo Costa del Sol, the UK led the growth in international tourism in 2024, followed by visitors from Germany and France, with total tourism in the region growing by 17%. Average spending per visitor also rose, by 8%. Figures from Taylor Wimpey Espa\u00f1a show that Britons were also among the top nationalities of property buyers of the firm\u2019s homes in the Costa del Sol in 2024, with Dutch, British, German and Polish buyers accounting for 50% of total reservations in the area.

Mountainous villages such as Benahav\u00eds, nestled between Marbella, Estepona and Ronda, showcase why the Costa del Sol is so enduringly popular.
