Leading Spanish home builder\u00a0Taylor Wimpey Espa\u00f1a<\/a>\u00a0has reported rising demand for properties in Spain. The firm completed 410 homes in 2023, with a total order book as at 31st December 2023 of 490 homes. That compares to 381 completions and an order book of 448 homes a year earlier.

Buyers also sought more expensive properties in 2023, paying an average of \u20ac400,000 \u2013 an increase of 4.4% from the average price of \u20ac383,000 in 2022. Buyers were primarily Europeans and other international customers purchasing second homes, with a small proportion of purchases being primary homes for domestic Spanish buyers.

\u201c2023 was a positive year for property sales, with an increase in completions and our order book. Buyers continue to prioritise outdoor space and flexible accommodation, which enables them to use their properties to meet a range of needs, from family holidays to extended, blended work and leisure trips.
