The fact that the cost of living in Spain is, on average, 17.3% lower than in the UK (according to Numbeo\u2019s 2023 figures) is also not lost on many buyers right now.<br><br>Overall, 2022 proved to be a record year for reservations for Taylor Wimpey Espa\u00f1a. Key themes in terms of buyer requirements included plentiful indoor and outdoor space and an abundance of natural light, along with sustainability and the potential for energy cost savings (something that is pushing many buyers to seek out new builds, rather than older properties).<br><br>Looking ahead, the Spanish real estate market is tipped to attract both families buying holiday homes for personal use and those buying as an investment in 2023.
