Price comparison website dealchecker.co.uk can reveal that UK travellers are already looking to take advantage of the extra four-day weekend afforded to them by the Queen’s Jubilee Weekend this June 2nd.
Patriotism is low on the agenda as UK travellers holiday search patterns for early June indicate a desire for guaranteed sunshine away from home. Spain and in particular Malaga take the lead as a preferred destination for a short break during the Jubilee weekend.
Although it was the stand-out destination for customer enquiries, Malaga isn’t the only Mediterranean destination Brits are eyeing up for their long weekend. Flights to Faro, Alicante, Majorca, Tenerife, Bodrum and Ibiza also proved popular with visitors to the website, dealchecker.co.uk say this could mark the start of a new trend for British travellers.
