Torrevieja’s Tourism Deputy Joaquin Albaladejo said last week, that the marketing strategy of the Costa Blanca Tourism Board will be to focus primarily on the emerging markets of northern Europe, ensuring that the profession is well placed to compete against other areas of tourism.
Speaking at FITUR 2013, the annual Tourism Fair of Madrid, where he highlighted his numerous meetings with trade professionals, Albaladejo said that Tourism in the Costa Blanca was stronger than ever and was expected to increase its market share in the coming season.
He said that he has particularly fruitful discussions with representatives of Spanish Tourism Offices in Norway and the United Kingdom as well as with the senior staff from airlines, tour operators and tourist agencies. The vice president of the Valencia Region, who has made a positive assessment of the 2013 event, said that the Costa Blanca stand has seen a significant increase in visitors this year, from last.
