Torrevieja’s impressive Auditorium and Congress Hall Auditorium will host its first official conference from 21 to 23 November, 2012.
This major international event, the Costa Blanca Russian Meeting Point, primary objective is to connect the large number of services of the Costa Blanca with the Russian market, helping to establish contacts for the present and the future, with a clear commitment towards the residential tourism market for many Russians who wish to purchase a second home in the region.
Torrevieja’s Mayor, Eduardo Dolon said the event is designed in order to boost trade relations between employers and business groups on the Costa Blanca, especially with Russian investors. Following the event, on 24 and 25 November, Russian investors will remain in Torrevieja to visit companies and view promotions in and around the city. Dolon sees this as “an event that will serve to revitalize the hotels and commercial sectors of the city of Torrevieja.” During the three days at the MUnicipal Auditorium, it’s expected that more than 6,000 real estate properties will be on offer to potential buyers from Russia, as well as participation of companies related to other production sectors as well as small and medium enterprises.
The opening ceremony will be attended by local, provincial and national politicians and businessmen as well as representatives of various business and political society from Russia, plus representatives of various investment and collective companies. The event will also feature roundtables, lectures, symposium and presentations by various different institutions and groups, as well as the exhibitors and property agents of the Russian Federation .
The event features three different areas: A seating area or “business lounge” which will be a closed facility, located in the cafeteria, where one will have access to exhibitors and professional investors: A perimeter zone or “retail spaces” for only 50 Spanish companies who want their real estate offerings clearly visible to professional Russian investors plus auditorium presentations, in which will be held all “round tables” and sessions of the Symposium.
This event is aimed towards the participation of 50 Spanish companies and banks and has attracted more than 100 investors and property agents from the Russian Federation. In the last local census, it should be noted that the Russian sector is the fastest growing of Torrevieja’s population base and that today, Torrevieja has 4,400 torrevejenses who were born in Russia that have registered in the city. This is more than double the number of registered Russian voters since 2007.
