Taylor Wimpey España awarded Double U Certificate for environmental responsibility

Process optimisation, commitment to achieving carbon neutrality and reduction of digital carbon footprint all recognised

Leading Spanish home builder Taylor Wimpey España has been awarded the coveted Double U Certificate in recognition of its commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. In addition to recognising the firm’s sustainability efforts, the certification emphasises Taylor Wimpey España’s depth of commitment to the environment, its customers and its business partners. 

The Double U Certificate was formally presented to Taylor Wimpey España’s Production Director, Juan Antonio Hurtado, on 21st October 2024. He comments:

The certification process involved assessments of multiple areas of Taylor Wimpey España’s business against strict sustainability criteria set by the Double U Certificate Assessment Board. This resulted in the firm being awarded the Double U Management Systems Stamp for its commitment to process optimisation for continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, reduction of environmental impacts, staff health and safety protection, and energy efficiency, among others.  

Taylor Wimpey España was also awarded the Double U CO2 Footprint Stamp in recognition of its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality. The award recognises businesses that calculate, reduce and/or offset their carbon footprint. Taylor Wimpey España additionally gained the Double U GreenWeb Stamp as a result of the reduction of its digital carbon footprint by creating and hosting websites with a low environmental impact.
