Spending time near the sea, meanwhile, can increase serotonin levels, reduce stress and, with regular swimming in cool water, support higher levels of a ‘cold-shock’ protein in the blood that can delay the onset of dementia. For those buying second homes in Spain, the search for both golf and beach properties often leads to the Costa del Sol. The firm has seen British buyer numbers grow by almost 70% during January to June 2024, compared to the same period of 2023. Britons are the third largest group out of the 33 nationalities to whom Taylor Wimpey España has sold homes so far this year.
