A rising number of Norwegians are looking for assets in the Spanish property market.
Speaking to the Aftenposten, real estate agent Heidi Brateng said most buyers from Norway will have between NOK 2-2.5 million (£215,000 – £269,000) to spend overseas, the Foreigner reported.
The warm weather in Spain is believed to be one of the main reasons why a rising number of Norwegians are so keen to own a property in the country.
In addition, the favourable exchange rate between the euro and the Norwegian kroner is encouraging more people to consider the benefits of buying somewhere now, rather than waiting.
Earlier this month, Marc Pritchard, sales and marketing manager of Taylor Wimpey de Espana, said his firm has seen a rise in the number of German buyers looking for homes in Spain.
He explained that purchases by Germans fell last year, but appear to be picking up again, with his organisation registering a 28.6 per cent climb in transactions to this demographic between January and July, compared to the same period in 2011.
