Orange launches EUR 10 million Palma de Mallorca 4G network

Orange Spain has inaugurated 4G services in Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the Balearic Islands, after investing EUR 10 million in modernizing its access and transmission network.

Orange’s 4G network, which allows users to browse at up to ten times the speed of current mobile networks, covers the entire metropolitan area of Palma de Mallorca, from San Agustín to El Arenal, including the Bay of Palma, the airport and the Son Castello and Marratxi industrial estates.

Over the course of the next year, the network will be expanded to other communities on the island and to other Balearic islands such as Ibiza.
