Michelin starred chef Marc Fosh and his partner Rob Bragagnolo have announced they are to open a Mediterranean brasserie style restaurant in Palma during February 2011. The new venture is to be called Misa Braseria & Bar and will have a relaxed, modern-rustic feel to allow for informal dining in stylish surroundings.
MISA will be a Mediterranean Brasserie with a Modern-Rustic feel. It will feature a Relaxed & vibrant cuisine with an exciting “Grazing” element with small portions served in the bar area.
MISA will offer the city of Palma something totally new, taking informal dining to new heights with Marc Fosh’s renowned cooking set in contemporary, stylish surroundings.
Misa will be Fosh’s third restaurant in Palma de Mallorca. Tasca de Blanquerna serves excellent regional Spanish cuisine in an upmarket deli-cafe surroundings, and Simply Fosh is the smarter restaurant that serves simple but imaginative dishes using fresh, seasonal & local ingredients.
Marc Fosh is one of Europe’s most exciting and creative cookery talents and without doubt one of Britain’s most successful culinary exports. He began his culinary career at the tender age of seventeen working at London’s Greenhouse restaurant, before moving on to the Michelin-starred Chelsea Room at the Carlton Tower Hotel.
Living and working in Spain since 1991, he developed his own unique style of cuisine focusing on fresh ingredients and quality of produce, to which he adds a touch of inspired genius. The result is a modern, yet simple cuisine with clean tastes and big flavours. In 2002, Marc became the first and only British Chef to be awarded a Michelin Star in Spain.
Tasca de Blanquerna serves up the best in regional Spanish cuisine. Enjoy tapas on a relaxed terrace or mouth-watering traditional Spanish dishes accompanied by a great selection of wine at this hip location. The menu emphasizes local-organic ingredients and in doing so serves authentic national dishes with a sprinkle of Fosh Food magic.
In contemporary stylish surroundings, Simply Fosh is housed in the Refectori of the 17th century Hotel Convent de la Missio in the old town of Palma with a modern interior of black-and-white, sun terrace, cascading wall of water and food that everyone can enjoy.
As the name suggests, our restaurant offers a more casual, stripped down and pocket friendly version of Marc Fosh’s extraordinary Mediterranean Cuisine.
