airberlin is continuing to expand its capacity in Spain this winter, increasing the frequency of its services from Germany to Alicante, Malaga and the Canary Islands from November. Germany’s second largest airline is also offering new connections from Germany and Switzerland to Alicante this winter. Furthermore, as of September airberlin is increasing the number of flights offered from Berlin to Madrid from seven to ten per week.
“This increase in services highlights the fact that airberlin is once again focusing on further growth in its key market of Spain this winter, and offering its guests excellent flight connections all year round. What is more, we are once again the market leader at Son Sant Joan Airport in Mallorca in winter 2013/14, which also reinforces our presence in Spain,” said Paul Gregorowitsch, Chief Commercial Officer at airberlin.
For anyone wanting to escape the winter, airberlin has already made the flights to Spain available for booking.
This winter Germany’s second largest airline is operating new non-stop flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart and Zurich to Alicante, thus offering its flight guests an all-year-round service to the Spanish port. As of 1st November 2013, the airline is also increasing the number of non-stop flights from Berlin and Dusseldorf to Alicante from three to four per week and from five times a week to a daily service respectively, compared to last winter. airberlin will also be flying to Malaga more frequently this winter. There will now be four instead of three flights a week from Berlin to the Costa del Sol; from Dusseldorf there will be flights every day instead of six days a week, and from Stuttgart airberlin will increase its service from one to two flights per week.
The airline is offering 13 additional flights a week from Germany to the Canary Islands, in comparison to winter 2012/13. With up to 110 non-stop connections per week from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the airberlin group is the carrier offering the largest number of flights this winter between these three countries and the Spanish archipelago in the Atlantic.
airberlin is also expanding its route network to the Spanish capital. From this autumn the airline is increasing the frequency of its services from Berlin to Madrid, operating ten flights a week between the two cities as of 1st September 2013. Since 25th February 2013, airberlin has been operating a daily non-stop service between Berlin-Tegel and Madrid. From September, a further flight will be added every Monday, Friday and Sunday.
