Low cost airline Ryanair is increasing the number of flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to the Spanish resort of Malaga to keep pace with passenger demand.

The airline, the second biggest by passenger numbers at LJLA, announced the expansion this afternoon, confirming it would increase its current nine weekly flights between Liverpool and the resort to 11 for the summer season.

It said it was adding 75,000 extra seats on the route spread between eight UK airports, including Liverpool, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow Prestwick, Leeds, London Stansted and Manchester.

To celebrate these extra flights to Malaga, Ryanair is releasing seats to Malaga at fares starting from £24.99, for travel in February and March, which are available for booking until midnight this Thursday.

Ryanair’s dales and marketing executive, Lisa Buckley, said: “Due to the high demand for sun holidays to Malaga, we have added an extra 75,000 seats across the UK, giving customers more choice when booking their summer holidays.

“To celebrate these extra flights to Malaga, we are releasing seats for sale at fares starting from just £24.99, for travel in February and March, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday.”
